Guild Rules & GUIDELINES
Guild Members
Be polite, kind & patient with guild members & pugs at all times, no matter the provocation.Remember that every guild member is an ambassador for the guild.
POLITENESS, PATIENCE, PERSEVERANCE, POSITIVITY
If you are concerned about the behaviour of any guild member, speak to an Officer or the Guild Leader. Please note that if you share your account with friends/relatives, you are responsible for their behaviour.Ranks
Most rank names are self-explanatory.
Trial Member: new members will have a trial period, normally one-two weeks, in which their level of involvement with guild activities will be assessed; and the new member can assess whether the guild suits them.
Inactive: unless circumstances are known to the Guild Leader, players inactive for 3 months will be demoted to this rank & players inactive for 8+ months will be removed from the guild.
Level 1-69: all chars levelling.
Social Member : all chars who do not wish to raid (too busy having fun doing other things), or are taking a break from online activity.
Level 70 : all chars at level 70 who are actively gearing up. Some limited repair support is provided by the guild.
Casual Raider: all chars at level 70 who wish to be considered for a raid if a spot is available. Repair support is provided by the guild if actively raiding.
Korkron: ONE character from each account may be nominated for this rank. Players at this rank are either expected to support progress raids at least twice a week, or have supported the guild over a considerable period of time (seniors). This rank will have high level support from the guild bank for repairs & access to new mats, gear etc..
If a spot is not available for the raid, those that turn up will have a priority spot on subsequent raid days if a char drops out; OR a priority place in the next weeks run. Groups will be based on a balanced class/role/experience requirement for the raid.
Officer alts: the rank for alts of Officers.
Alts will be ranked according to the wishes of the main. It is expected that invitations are normally accepted by the main, & declined for any alts not to be considered for the raid.
Raid & Dungeons
Raids normally start Wednesday, continuing on Thursday and Monday 20.30-23.00. This arrangement is subject to change depending on the raid focus of the guild in any given week. Old raids will run on other evenings subject to availability of players.
Raiders should sign for the event. If you get an invitation to a raid, it is essential you respond, even if it is to decline.
Accepted: expected to BE THERE, online ready to raid irrespective of whether a place is made available. if you turn up on time and still do not get a place, your support will be noted, and you will be given priority on the next run. Accepted takes priority over those signing Tentative. If unable to be online, message should be sent if possible to Raid Leader via friends, or an in-game post.
Tentative: may be online for a raid, but unsure. Places available for this group take lower priority than those accepting for certain.
Raiders must be online 15 mins before the given time, repaired with potions & food.
The raid starts at 20.30. If you wish to raid, be online then, logged with your char + food + potions + flasks
Anyone who is late more than 15 mins, without notifying the Raid Leader or an Officer, loses their right to a place, even if signed or saved.
Places may be available if group is not full, but not guaranteed. Group invitations will be at 20.30. You must join the group if you wish to raid. The Raid Leader will not wait for anyone doing quests, dailies, achievements, dungeons, LFR, old raids etc. During the wait instead, you can farm, AH, fish, archaeology.
Friends and pugs will be asked for from 20.45. If a friend/pug is agreed, they have a place, even if a guildie logs late. If we do not have enough people at 21.00, the raid will be cancelled, or rearranged. This means that no-one ever loses more than 30mins while in raid group.
If the group needs an alt rather than a main, the Raid Leader will whisper you to discuss. if you wish to bring an alt, discuss with Raid Leader in advance.
Raiders are expected to have researched the tactics for whichever bosses the guild is attempting.
During the raid there will be NO messing around just before the boss pull, no irrelevant chat while tacs being given and postions given.
Raiders are expected to accept multiple wipes on bosses while they are being learnt. Positive suggestions for improvement are always welcomed ;). Flaming guild members is NOT permitted.
Guild members take priority in guild runs; only replace after 5mins+ if dc. The party leader decides if the guild member has suitable gear ilvl/dps/skill for a run before any invitation.
The raid will normally end at 23.00. Always inform the Raid Leader BEFORE the group forms if you have to go early. Raids may finish earlier or later than 23.00 if the raid agrees. Raid Leaders understand if there is an emergency or if a computer causes issues, & will not penalise a char who had to leave because of those reasons. Continual leaving early, without due notice, will be considered suspicious.
If you leave a raid early for no good reason and without advance warning, you may be banned from raids for a period of time.
Raid rage / Ragequit will not be tolerated, and is subject to possible penalties of demotion and banning from raid for not less than one week, depending on circumstances. Always stay in the raid to sort out issues.
Loot Rules
Ninja looting will not be tolerated.
If you are farming for a particular drop from an early boss, it is rude to leave a Pick-Up Group before the run is completed or is agreed to be finished by all in the group. Others may be relying on you to help complete their boss for a drop.
Rules - raids
1. It is your loot, you can do what you like with it. If you wish to privately pass the loot to someone else, that is your concern. However, please consider the best interests of the guild if possible.
2. If you want to offer to general guild members openly, you do so in guild chat LOUDLY. This is because guild members may be temporarily afk/dc/running trash. WAIT, if necessary, until the raid ends, to start/finish the fair rolls.
3. Highest roll wins.
4. Rolling against your guildies to give a piece to someone else is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. It is unfair because essentially it means that one person in guild gets the equivalent of two rolls. Winning the roll does NOT mean you own it. If you decide not to use it, you give it to the next person on the roll list. It is essential that this is understood clearly.
5. Any roll by a guild member with a piece of gear 20+ ilvls above the piece offered will be considered to be prank/troll rolling, and their roll ignored. There is no justification for rolling for gear under those circumstances.
6. If you already have a piece of gear of higher ilvl (5,10, 15 ilvls) above the gear offered - then THINK about whether you really need it; and what would be better for the guild. A marginal upgrade for you may be a massive upgrade for someone else. It is irrelevant whether that person has been a regular raider or not. They contributed to the kill that enabled the loot that dropped.
7. Rolls are MAIN SPEC>OFF SPEC>TRANSMOG. & MAIN > ALT
A spec is considered main if it is the spec that the RL has asked you to play in the raid. Chars swapping specs for different bosses at RL request ONLY have two main specs for that raid.
So think before you roll whether you need the item
Rolls will be normal random rolls (fair roll) when appropriate
ALL chars, once accepted by the raid leader, may fair roll for loot for their class & role, including guests. The gear must be an upgrade. If the item is the same ilvl as one you currently own, then ensure that no other guild member needs the item before you roll.
Loot WILL NOT be given on a 'who deserves it most' basis.
The lootmaster will not waste time & valuable energy trying to decide who is 'deserving'. Everyone knows that it is tough to see that cherished piece of gear going to someone with less dps, or who has done little raiding. But that is the nature of this game - RNG. There would be more arguments over who 'deserves' the gear, than if loot is based ONLY on a fair roll. If one char gets an exception to the fair roll rule, everyone else will argue for an exception, or will dispute every decision by the lootmaster, leading to chaos & grief.
Bullying of a char who won a fair roll by the person(s) who lost will not be tolerated.
Remember - if you raid regularly, you will get the loot eventually.
Remember - if guild members get geared up & stronger, that makes our runs more successful & you get stronger.
Breaking these rules deliberately will be subject to the penalty of demotion and/or raid ban for one month.
Crafting patterns/recipes etc.
- all in raid with the relevant profession on that char may roll.
- if no-one in raid rolls for the current raid char; then any char in raid may roll for an alt with that profession. The alt may be at any level in the profession. If unsure whether an alt requires the pattern/recipe; the raid leader will take the item & will give to roll winnner when checked.
- finally, if no-one wants for main raid char or for an alt, it will go to Guild Bank.
Guild Bank
The guild bank is there for you to use. It is expected that at level 60 that you donate mats to the bank in exchange for gold to repair [unless actively raiding with the guild] and obtaining mats for your own specific purposes. Generally, mats are sold to guild members at around half AH price.
All donations of gold welcome.
Reselling of material taken from the guild bank is BANNED, except for Officers who will only sell material to boost the gold in the bank
Two tabs (Rare) are restricted to Officers only, containing rarer and more expensive items. This is due to an unfortunate incident when a departing guild member looted high value items. If you wish to obtain any item in this tab, ask an Officer.
